Privacy policy
What we collect, the cookies we use, how advertising works, and the rights you have over your data.
Last updated: 27 July 2026
This policy explains how HDZERO ("we", "us") handles information when you visit hdzero.eu (the "site"). We keep data collection to a minimum and never sell your personal information.
Who we are
HDZERO is an independent publication about home-office interior design. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@hdzero.eu. For visitors in the EU/EEA, HDZERO acts as the data controller for the limited personal data described below.
What we collect
- Information you give us. If you email us or subscribe to our newsletter, we receive the email address and any message you send, and use it only to reply or to send the content you requested.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our host records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site secure and reliable.
- Cookies and local storage. Small files used for the purposes set out below.
Cookies and local storage
We use these categories:
- Essential. Your cookie-consent choice and display preferences (such as light or dark theme) are stored in your browser's local storage so the site works and remembers your settings. These are not used for tracking.
- Advertising (when enabled). When advertising is switched on, our advertising partners set cookies to serve and measure ads (see below). These load only in line with your consent.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; some features may then work less smoothly.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We may use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service, to display ads on this site. When it is active:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, personalised advertising is shown only where you have given consent through our Google-certified consent management platform (CMP), which appears the first time you visit the site. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the CMP's privacy settings.

Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which articles are useful, in aggregate. If analytics cookies are used, they fall under the advertising/measurement consent above.
Affiliate links
Some articles may contain affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes our editorial recommendations, and any such links are disclosed where they appear.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent or lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise any of these, email hello@hdzero.eu and we will respond within the timeframe the law requires.
Data retention
We keep emails and newsletter sign-ups only for as long as needed to correspond with you or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited period by our host for security purposes.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
International transfers
Some of our service providers (such as Google) may process data outside the EEA. Where they do, they are required to provide appropriate safeguards for your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
